hello folks, im new to multiplayer after beating the computer, and like Sax, i thought i was going to be competitive[hahaha]. one big question I have is when you upgrade your cars performance, in careeer mode like cnc heads, racing susupension, brakes etc, do those mods transfer to multiplayer? some cars just seem to fast to be real like they most be turning 10,000 rpm or more. I used to turn a wrench on a 68 chevelle dirt street stocker at Whinchester speedway VA, many years ago, so im very familar with setups for dirt cars, and have boxes of circle track magazines. Most of the real set ups will work for the game cept for stagger and a few other concepts, and I basically design my own set ups based on lap times. Now my other issue is regarding wise guys, I am no prude as folks in yahoo chat rooms know, but since this is a game , for every one, all ages , genders, and ocupations you never know who you are playing with, and there are a couple of clowns that come in with inapropriate racer names as well as foul language, and sexual comments, I dont back down from smart mouths, and I try to tell them to chill out and act professionally just as one would do at a real race, nobody likes a spoiled loser or foul mouthed wise guy , as it portrays the sport and game in a negative image. By the way im 53 married , and have a 12 year old daughter that often watchs me race, and I work as a carpenter and have been a foreign car mechcanic, so im no prude to foul comments, as im guilty of that one my self. when i first got into multiplayer , I was a bad example, but after reviewing your execellent website I have a better under standing of the rules, and I wish the wise guys would review the website also. I m not into censorship but I think if some body is going to get banned, for being a bad sport, or driving like an idiot[backwards] on the track etc, maybe a first time warning will work or suspension from playing the game would work, like three warnings and your out for the week, but I dont really think its an issue, unless that person is real offensive to the other players, as i have noticed that some groups do a little self policing, and that seems to work. I came to race and learn to improve my skills and lap times, not listen to some 14 year old boys comments about somebodys mother. That said i got one more question, my game DTR2 wont let me use a steering wheel, there are options for keyboard mouse, and joystick but nothing about using a steering wheel except in the booklet for the game. thanks and burn rubber.
