We are working on getting stuff together. EVR_Bandit30 is going to head up our SAS / Heat division. As soon as we can do something right and in a professional manner... you will see it posted here. ;D As far as DTR1 goes... there was just a huge lack of participation in our competitions. It's too much work to keep up when so few are actually interested in the game anymore. So, we are taking a break from the DTR1 action for a season and see what becomes of it.

drt-editing.com/SNH.htmlCheck these cars out! A bit easier for the Heat rookies to drive ( including myself) and they should make for some great racing action! I believe that Bandit, Bong and a few others are already testing it out. So far, the cars handle better and are easier to drive.

Description of the SNH mod for Nascar Heat by DRT_54...
[glow=red,2,300]Saturday Night Heat [/glow] Description: Saturday Night Heat-(SNH)-I Made this addon for Nascar Heat cuss the other late model addons I just couldn't get a handle on them. So I made this for a certain few people ,but now gunna realease for everyone to use and enjoy , Right off the bat I gunna tell you , they have 4 gears for ai can be almost good offline .If you don't like it cuss it not real DONT GET IT or if you have half a mind , you could just make the setup so you only run 2 gears, I didn't include damage models ethier cuss I kept the cars under 2000 polys so they would be better online. These cars also don't and cant blow up (engine) they rev out at 12500 so no worries bout missing a shift. Also the front and rear wheels are very strong almost impossible to brake , did this again for online racing .The tires them self have normal wear asfar as track concerned , they will run on ethier SAS marked or reg tracks which ever. I made to have a league or 2 with them , I didn't include a lot of skins cuss people paint there own skins. with that d/l and enjoy

Hey shadow,
I am curious about the heat game and its online multiplayer aspect if more than anything. Approximately how many can you have on at once by chance? And what are your thoughts on the SNH mod also as well. I am thinking about reinstalling Nascar heat at this time because of this mod. I quit racing it earlier do to the fact I couldnt get a handle on the SAS cars. Thanks for the response.

To be honest, I haven't tested how many we can race with online at one time yet. We are also very new to this mod and are learning as we go.
The SNH mod is much better for racers to get up to speed. I found myself simply too frustrated to drive the SAS mod. However, the SNH mod doesn't rollover so easy and the engine doesnt expire if you miss the gears selection. Back to the SAS mod... I have a limited amount of time to play games, I think if my only purpose in life was to play that sim then I could eventually get it. But, I do not have endless hours available to me for developing my skills to drive the SAS mod. I believe that with the SNH mod I can at least be competitive without pouring a zillion hours into learning how to drive the cars. I think you still have to use some brakes, but I'm told that with all 4 gears available, you can use gearing to whoa the car up in the turns. The SAS mod requires you to stab the brakes to get the car to turn into the corners. Not only is this wacky but its too exagerated from reality. I'm not knocking the SAS mod entirely because it is a great mod. I'm only pointing out that for myself, the SNH mod is a better fit to my racing schedule.

;D Oh yeah this is much better than SAS Heat as far as car handling goes, only problem is I still can't get online with SNH Heat or SAS Heat as well as Nascar Heat so I will have to race against AI Cars untill someone can help me figure this thing out...

Danny,
Not only am I a mdoerator at DW, i hang out over there alot and read almost all the info on the forums. There was a period there where everyone was fighting and pissy and nothign was goign right, the forums have since been closed down for re-organization and have been back up for about a month now. If i catch u on MSN or AIM, i can send you in the direction of people who can really help you and get your game working, same goes for the rest of you EVR guys having issues. Once i talk to the guys that I know can get the job done, I will see if its ok with them to post their screen name to the guys here at EVR that need help.
