Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series rolls into Tazewell Speedway Sunday Night, September 4th for the $10,000 to win “Citizens Bank 75.”

Tazewell, TENN- Tazewell Speedway officials are gearing up for what may possibly be the largest event in the history of the 3/10 of a mile high-banked dirt oval known as “The Taz” as The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series rolls in for a $10,000 to win, $700 to start Seventy-Five (75) Lap Feature presented by Citizens Bank on Sunday night, September 4th.
Don O’ Neal of Martinsville, IN currently sits atop the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point standings with Jacksonville, Florida’s Earl Pearson, Jr. second, Matt Miller of Waterville, OH third, Donnie Moran of Dredson, OH fourth with current “Rookie of the Year” leader Scott James of Lawrenceburg, IN rounding out the top five.
Many of the nation’s premier Dirt Late Model drivers are expected to be on tap for the ‘Citizens Bank 75’ such as: Earl Pearson, Jr., Scott James, Matt Miller, Freddy Smith, Tim Dohm, Steve Shaver, Donnie Moran, Mike Marlar, Jeff Taylor, Steve Casebolt Jr, Darren' The Thriller" Miller and more.
Several of Tennessee’s own “weekend warriors” are expected to try and keep that $10,000 in the Volunteer State such as: Scott Sexton, Brad Hall, Anthony White, Steve Smith, Billy Ogle, Jr., Bryan Hendrix, Jeff Wolfenbarger, Terry Wolfenbarger, Stacy Boles, Randy Weaver, Brett Miller, Jason Trammell, Matt Henderson, Brian Smith, Tommy Kerr and more.
There will be a complete show for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series with Oval Craft Racing Time Trials, VP Fuels Makin' Power Heat Races, The Mason Racin' Rebel Shock Dyno B-Main(s) and the seventy-five (75) lap Lucas Oil/ Citizens Bank A-Main.
In the previous twenty-five Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events this year, there have been fifteen different winners.
Along with the “Citizens Bank 75” Tazewell Speedway’s Modified Street and Pure Street divisions will be running a regular point’s race with an increased purse. The Four-Cylinder and Limited Late Model division will set out and return on September 17th for a special race, more information concerning this event will be available within the coming days.
The Pit Gate will open at 3:00 p.m.; The Grandstand Gates will open at 4:00 p.m. as The Lucas Oil Dirt Late Model Series drivers will hold a special autograph and ‘meet and greet’ session at 4:30. Hot Laps are tentatively scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
Grandstand Admission is $25.00 with nine year olds and under admitted free with a paying adult. Pit Passes will be $35.00
This will be an extremely action packed night at Tazewell Speedway with the “Best of the Best” battling for that $10,000 payday.

VP Racing Fuels will present via www.RaceTalkLive.com the action from "The Taz" beginning at 8 PM Eastern Time this Sunday Night. The broadcast will pick up wherever the race program is at and stay until the conclusion of the $10,000 to win main event.

This event was originally scheduled for May, but was rained out, so this officially will be the first ever event for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Tazewell.
